Trade update - revising SL to 1.2620 on the long USDSGD positions. Position 1, TP remains 1.3000. Position 2, TP revised to 1.3200. Since I don't usually trade in Dec due to thin liquidity & stress free vacation, this will be my final trades for 2011 unless defaults in euroland happen in Dec presenting quick profitable trades. $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Position 1 TP hit in Asia session and profits booked. If this goes as expected position 2 should yield at least $3400 for a combined $6200 profit. But boy 2011 has made these swing trades hard to come by as volatility goes fever pitch coz of euroland. @fxtech & @ceinz goodluck with ur day trades. I gave up on day trading since my eyes cant take anymore hourly screen staring/monitoring. $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Btw, some few posts ago, I said I was trying a slightly long term approach, and so far its working, better than day trading. “small step for man”

@QW - That's why I trade weekly charts. If I make a nasty blunder with lot sizes 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5, I'll fry the account! That classic margin call alert So my trades take longer to take to reduce risks as much as possible. The above trades were on 0.5 lot sizes. I mostly trade 0.5 and 1.0. For quick trades like interventions, I go for 0.2 or 0.3. Know your trading style and stick to your trading plan and you'll be in the monies... $15/barrel oil... So far how do you like the freedom of walking away from the screen or going about your day or sleeping without the anxiety of being stopped out... Once you get addicted to this, there's no turning back $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Day trading is too fast paced. It requires quick decision making- take that profit, cut that loss, close trade and enter reverve, you see what I mean. Swing trading is more relaxed, you set it up and just check on it periodically and when you compare profits say on a weekly basis its the same if not better to day trading. So why stress myself. Bottom line: its sticking to what suits you. “small step for man”
