I think the dust is about to settle the supernormal profit the company used to announce is over no pretense.

safaricom 2.0 is in another phase and Bob will have to look for other revenue streams to get safaricom to the top.

First they shld acquire MPESA why do safaricom spend too much money popularizing a solution it does not own.

Data is the new frontier I think the company shld separate this venture from voice which a 2g network can comfortably service.By integrating 2g with 3g the quality of the network has been deteriorating.

sponsorship shld be scaled down why wuld the company be a sole sponsor for some very exclusive events like rugby or Jazz how many kenyans follow this events...Thats a waste of corporate sponsorship in my view.

That reminds me.... there is Ugandan NSSF boss who was jailed for 12years after he lost the fund some money (USh 3 Billion) by poor decisions. Is there any chance a Kenyan CEO can face similar fate?

1.3 Billion in forex (unrealized loss) is not good enough

Shs.2 per share is a very real possibility. Think about it, if 1/2 is 4B then it is wise to assume that full year might be 8-9B. Even at 12B, do you really see scom giving dividends of over 10cts? Even at 10cts (4B) they'll be stretching it. Secondly, do you really see this mobile phone industry getting better for the provider especially scom? I don't. And this Agent banking and all these other money transfer providers eg mobikash will really eat into their mpesa. So is 2/- possible? I say Yes.

BBI will solve it
