a friend of mine has been called to a university abroad.However,he is yet to be granted a visa as the UK embassy insists he must have at least 1.5m in his account.He now has 600k and needs the rest asap..Can he approach a bank for a loan e.g ekweity ama kcb and produce the admission letter to support his case? What other ways can he raise this amount?

no bank will even listen to him.the first thing the bank wants to hear when giving you a loan is how you are going to pay.so how does he pay when he is a student?and outside the country for that matter?for 600K tell him to go to india.he will get a good education and save a bit of that money
