I think the honors for the worst ad in the world has to go to some Kenyan cement manufacturer (I've forgotten the brand).
It has a woman checking out a house with her dumb husband,cook or watchi.
She inspects the walls and asks the real estate agent (another woman) 'which cement is this?' And the other woman responds with confidence......
Can't wait to see the same concept used for carsads. Imagine a scenerio where this woman is driving with her girlfriend riding shotgun then she applies emergency breaks and the other asks 'wow which break pads/break fluid do you use?' :)
Bright and interesting people talk about ideas.
Those of average intelligence talk about things.

Peter Marangi's ads are most irritating. They take the 'Oscars' in most irritating ads. Za Jimmy Gathu - Epuka Ukimwi - are the best.,and the new one from Crown Paints. Na pia Sunlight,very creative (isn't that mama,Mrs. Odhiambo hot? Yiaiks! Nalamba tu vidole)

Yenyewe Equity's 'Member' ad was a stroke of genuis. However Jimmy Gathu's wacheni mpango wa kando won this year's MSK award for advert of the year.And yes Missis Odhiambo is soooo hot. me myself and i It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt...

I Beg to differ with @Jofa,I really love most of Peter Marangi's adverts,it brings out the kind of humour i love for instance the one he says he has a assistant then he carries a big hardcover book to 'point out errors'... just crunks me up.
ive noticed the little bravlet is a sucker for adverts he might be crying/suckling then when a certain advert esp that of 'Mortein Doom ...not so fast...' he stops what he's doing to watch it when it ends he continues doing what he was doing,

the clean toilet with harpic by babe nyambs has the same stain on the same loo setting,only the subjects changes. even though the ad sells the product,couldnt they make alterations.

YU's ads are the most boring... esp. the one that man in a suit tells wife... 'pea hao simu' (kuku) then he start singing and dancing...very poor! if it were TPF he would not even see the doors to the academy... @chi20 - what is worse - harpic is NOT the strongest cleaner - tried it with NO results. At least I see they got him to visit another household (the second in the whole series! better the Omo challenge guy).

The worst ads are without a doubt Blue Triangle Cement.
Marangi: I think you'll all agree that Marangi has done it's time,they need to kill it yesterday and give us something new.
Tusker: I still don't know where this is going.... What are your thoughts on the Tusker ad?

The worst ad for me at the moment is the New blue band;It goes to say that the new bb is designed for nothing else but spreading!This means it adds nothing good to our children's body,it was just made for spreading. The Hague...or Local Triburnal ama TJRC. Portfolio: Sold
