@ mwanahisa. I can relate to the price swings that make this a favourable share to trade. And you make a good case (as always). p.e 5, dividend yield of 10%, its really a good investment case. even if it does go lower.

As far as trading is concerned, its safe to do it in a share one has long term ambitions in. Otherwise, im done trading( unless for bonus shares of a long term play). Kengen gave me a sucker punch, still reeling from the effects. At least not in a bear market.

@Aguy, Thanks for your kind comments. As you know trading is pretty risky and indeed sometimes you do get caught in some positions, meaning that you to be ready to take some losses now and then. But, if you are a keen watcher of the market you get better at timing your entries which minimizes your risk of loss.

And you have to be content with modest gains and take your profits even when counters look like they have more room to run. That way, profits do not dissipate when markets turn. And of course this way, you are able to maintain a good degree of liquidity for the next opportunity, which will always come along.

But you already know all that!

Now let's see how MSC behaves.

NO!!!....because i believe i have seen nothing!...but that's just me and i am not allowing anybody to talk me into high sugar prices.That would only work if production was up there....i still hold the view that 3.50 is possible

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.
Some of the issues raised by yourself and others, I believe, are simply down to poor management. Injection of fresh talent and ideas at the company will be a welcome development

Cane farmers oppose Nzoia Sugar privatization:

“We will not allow Nzoia to go the same way that Mumias went into private hands. Let us have at least a five-year grace period that will enable us to source for funds to be involved in buying the company as well,” said Wilson Webi, the Chairman of the Nzoia Task Force on Privatization.

Kenya Sugar Plantations and Allied Workers (KSPAW) National Chairman Macdonald Wamacho claimed that KSB has been doing business with the Somalia militia group, Al-Shabaab to transact business through the port of Kismayu and warned that he will spill the beans soon.

@Ycs,
That's absolute ignorance on the part of those two.Nzoia is a parastatal.Being your neighbour does not give me authority on how,when,where and to whom you sell YOUR property.Does it?

Plus they've known about the intended sugar companies privatisation for years. Indeed, they should be told to consider the last 5 years as the 'grace period'

Good insight boss. I hadnt looked at the exchange rate as a protection and an increase iin revenue to this company. I am placing my order on thursday.
Point of correction. I have never bought into this counter. It is my father who did and he really regrets because he took his hard earned cash to do this.
African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'
