Wasn't it 39, and they have done a split (/3) since.

mlennyma is right. The 2nd IPO was at 49.50. Mumias has never had a split. They did however give a 2:1 bonus which the market took to be a 3:1 split.

Still, that equates the price to approximately Kshs 15. That's why I am with mlennyma on this one. I was also in the market for some sugar today. My average price was however higher - I got a nice chunk at an average price of 5.55.

the second IPO was 49 if i am not wrong. way back in December 2006. my father keeps asking me the price, and i feel sorry for him as he never sold a single share.

Just seen, its the book closure. The price decline beats the dividend many times - reminds me of Total et al losing 30% after closing books for a 3% dividend.

Don't mean to be a party pooper but, I believe this share has some falling still to go, below 5.00.

How does it come to Kshs 15? I bought some at that time. I've always assumed its Kshs 16.5 after the bonus.

You caught me out on that one. Excuse my arithmetic. It is indeed 16.50. Still you can see why some of us would now buy it at 5.50 and ADD MORE if it dips further.
