I gather that one of the reason we are paying high rates is because of fossil fuel generation. Since our dams got filled up, the rates should be going down. But with much of generation reverting to hydros, Wanjiku expects power tarrif to go down. As for capacity, I agree with you... we are living precariously just about our generation capacity. We need to increase the so called green sources. May be the upcoming geothermal(s) will alleviate this at some point. But we get lots of corruption reports on geothermal "..I am because we are.
