Only one trade though of a measly 500 shares. Looks like a case of market making!
Waiting to see what Sasini will have to offer next month when they release their full year results. Its historical PE has since jumped to 3.19!

For Sasini (and Kapchorua), the gains arising from changes in fair value of biological assets is more than the profit from operating activities
Not so for WTK.
Who would you say has the 'best land' for real estate development?

it Definitely will be the companies with property on the nairobi outskirts..

So limuru, kakuzi, sasini and EAGAADS will be the best plays for real estate speculation..

Soo true,Limuru Tea,Sasini and Eagaads are really sitting on a gold mine. Of these 3 and assuming a sober Merali,i'd vouch for Sasini, which has a bigger acreage than the other 2 in Kiambu county (about 1,000 acres) and is also the most liquid of the 3 counters!

Tea prices are on average (US$) 10% higher than last year. Production down 10%. So a wash.

KES even at 90/- is down 15% vs last year. When you consider KES was at 105/- for a period of time, the tea firms will do very well.

Williamson year end is March so they will benefit from 3 months of weak KES, rain, high prices compared to Kakuzi, Sasini or Limuru Tea.
