@ engoho the gal was at liberty to sei no if she didn't want to be treated. The other dei in Nairobi hospital i removed everythin for the doc upon his request he even used the finger to check, i cannot afterwards claim the doc molested me since i did it willingly & with an intention to be treated, if all my sisters can tell u inluding your wife its not even in one occasion that they have stripped to the doctors. I doubt which doc can molest someone in his own clinic moreso during the dei

True and very true. The maid (or is it the sister in law?) may not be telling the whole truth. An 18year old is mature enough to tell the difference between procedure and alterior motives. Why cry rather than tell the doctor off. These angels of death need to be named and shamed if there was any malice aforethought.

Back to the topic, i think that it is always better if a female patient is treated by a female doctor, and viceversa. I used to have a friend who when she was pregnant, prefered to go to a male gynecologist because she said that they (male doctors) are very "kind." It used to piss me off. Why do men even study gynecology?

Why is it better? Gender is irrelevant! So a girl with appendicitis and who requires an appendectomy should search (in vain) for a female surgeon?! Kindly use other criteria to choose a doctor like recommendations from friends and family. Proper communication, pleasant personality and bedside manner matter more.

Majority of gynaecologists are men. The male gynaecologists also earn more than the female gynaecologists. That trend will continue for a while longer.

I understand what you say. I am one guy who hates this rubbish about gender parity. However, i tend to feel that it is better, not a must, if a woman is treated by a woman. So that if the doctor wants her to strip, then she can strip and there will be no problem. I don't know waht doctors learn at the university, but i am not sure their standards of morality when it comes to sexual matters is higher than that of the population.

What is a man supposed to do when a very beautiful 18 year old girl comes to her for help. I know that the doctor should be ethical, but that does not mean that he should be temte unecessarily. We should be like IRan where only women are allowed to study gynecology. This issue of men touching other peoples things is not proper.
