If you got in below 11, would you wait any longer to see your gains evaporate?

jumping (in or out) not advisable. Plan your entries and exits. No one can tell you with certainty what a stock will do today, tomorrow, next year.

BBK made a one off recovery of a non performing loan of 600m from Hillcrest sale. Q4 profits will decline compared to last year. So is a tricky share at this point in time.

and why the rise in NIC? i bet the reason is simple..Volumes. with smaller volumes, a stock can rally because it just takes a few orders or one big match for that to happen, we tend to be pegged so much on the prices, me included.

Note, there has been a huge purchase order through Kestrel and African Alliance from a few foreign investors. For those purchase orders that went through, the price is now heading to Suguta Valley. Those whose purchase order had not been completed, the trend is towards Mt Elgon. Factor in these foreigners were counting on Kenya getting 25 billion dollars without much hustle. However, the rider of hiking interest rates to 16% was the killer blow. Investors know the consequence of that IMF condition while speculators are running all over selling and buying.

Sober, once the large NIC order is satisfied, the share will come down to under 30 again.
Wisdom to detect when share prices hit rock bottom.
When interest on bonds keep going up, you know the bear run is on high street. When interest on bonds start leveling, the bear has met the bull and they have hit rock bottom. When the interest rates on bonds start coming down, the bull has overpowered the bear and you better be riding the bull.

I would jump.

Take your profits and wait for 9.50. i belief we will get there. There will be no news to excite this counter for the next 2 years.

The Answer is easy it didn't perform as well as its peers (compare it with Equity and KCB). Decline in top line though PAT increased by 11% as op. expenses were slashed by 40% (job cuts)as loan book grew by 7%. Equity and KCB were in the over 30% region in PAT and loan book growth.

I would hold on to it though on a LT basis.

Welcome to Wazua.

Why hold BBK for the long term? Can it compete with Equity and KCB? The answer is no in my opinion.

And where did the African Investor @young go to?Sad
