KCB Group: Business & Investment cycles, just like farming, there is a time to 1. SOW & PLANT (EAC expansion & KCB S&L), 2. WEED (Restructuring, Consolidation & G2G Transformation) and lastly, 3. HARVEST & DISTRIBUTE (grab some popcorn spectators)

PBT for member at 3Q is equal to the entire 2010...KCB? In fact King James can go on holiday...what ever we make in 4Q goes to the bottomline...KCB had a tax credit last year amounting to Sh1B, How is Britak related to member apart frm Britak owning shares in Equity? or having the same shareholders?

@the deal, I disagree when you say King James can go to sleep based on Q3 because writeoffs and adjustments are usually done in Q4 and they can throw up very unpleasant curve balls. But then again KCB is more vulnerable on this score.

It doesn't matter if you cover the whole of Africa, but your ROA, liquidity metrics are mediocre Valid point, KCB has always been at the front with BBK at a time when no one ever thought EB will ever catch up with them.

Every yr since memba listed in '06, we've had this debate on this forum. In '06 upto '08, it was between memba and the British duo. Now its yet another mediocre entity. I bought memba in Dec'06 at Ksh134. Since we've had 1 for 3 bonus spilt, and a 1 for 10 spilt. I rest my case. Sehemu ndio nyumba

This is not entirely correct; The lion was first Kenyan bank to venture into Southern Sudan and among the 1st in Rwanda. They are exploring Eastern DRC and Zambia. That is not playing catch up.

At current prices, KCB of course offered a great opportunity for capital gains as well as a healthy dividend yield (At least 10%). That a double combo not many stocks offer Mainat, the thing I love about Equity most is its agility, and as long as James Mwangi is at the helm you know he is always going to push the boundaries and move into uncharted territories. Big things will come from Equity... GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

Equity Bank is hiring executives from the international market as it seeks new ideas to gain a larger foothold in the lucrative corporate lending. http://www.businessdaily...6/-/14fshc5/-/index.html
