I will soon be undertaking a 3 day assignment in Embu. Is it possible for me to be commuting from nrb to Embu daily via public means to arrive in Embu at 8am? How much is the fare to Embu? Where in nrb do i get vehicle to embu? I would have opted to put up in Embu but i have matters that require my attention in nrb on daily basis. I also feel using my car for the daily commute would be uneconomical.

No. considering that Somalia is in that direction, there could be slow moving armored personnel carriers and such other materiel. Leave at 3am to be in Embu at 8.
Yes, pick vehicle at tea room.

Somalia? Surely, if they travel, military vehicles are doing so usiku and they branch off @ thika. 3am? No embu vehicles @ that time, bt meru ones do travel such hours. Embu is like 130km from nbi. Assuming that thka rd will hold u like an hr btwn castle and cbd, then the other 80km u can do an hr. Throw in a few mins za kujaza gari, lets say 20-30mins. 2.5hrs will do. Bt its only day 1 u need the info, day 2, u will be a master. I propose, take those 7 seater shuttles.

The risk of being on the road is too high. About 5 hrs daily for three days is too much a risk for 130km distance

I recall former Anglican bishop David Gitari saying he used to drive daily from his Kirinyaga home. You can make it with that budget. But you will really get exhausted.

The way those MK shuttles are driven like probox-mira vans, I fear for safety.Doing 16Km/h at wee hours of the morning, even a squirrel crossing the tarmac will greatly disorientate the driver.

All the best
