I will go with Wendz''s attempt at explaining this above. F&F is gone so we may never know for certain.

@Motomingi, he didnt tell a lie. When you read those novels by Jackie collins,Stephen King and the inspirational ones from most pastors am not sure that you believe they are telling the truths, FF was just passing a message

I think he went too far.one can make a joke about his life but involving family ati 'family was killed by a speeding truck' is a bad joke.wazuans, while still protecting our privacy, we should always try to be honest on certain matters.anyway he is gone hope he was at peace with his maker but I wish he tried to correct the facts before his departure which seemed certain to him

I agree. Imagine his wife reading this. But I give him benefit of doubt coz I imagine that its a crisis in it self being told you have this long to live and your body behaving in a manner to confirm the assertion.
Lord, thank you!

@Wendz, thanks for the information and the details:
This has really changed the theme of the thread, I do very well understand your explanation about how the thread was put but your relevation I think has changed a lot of things as now we realize Fn'F had a family who have now lost a bread winner, the revelation has left even myself a bit confused, I have always wondered that part about whisky being the culprit here, based on my last interaction with him, he did not seem like the person who would overindulge in phombe.

Funny whenever phombe is mentioned peeps @wazua automatically believe that McReggae is up there at the top...what if in real life I do not partake!!!

All in all that is water under the bridge, Fn'F was part of the greater wazuan family, he has since passed on and left a family, I support option 1 where whatever wazuans are able to collect will go towards the education of at least one of his family members!!!

Now that the thread is so long, it's necessary to bring us back to the options Wendz has given us ...............

Given this situation, his close friends have agreed to set up an education fund for his children which will be hosted at CFC Stanbic and the funds drive is running simultaneously with burial arrangements.

How can we come in as Wazua family?

My suggestions would be

1. We can still meet up on 20th and do our mini funds drive towards the children's school fees fund because i think that would be very critical and then get a representative who can submit the same for us as his friends in Wazua.

2. Send our contributions for the burial arrangements as we had discussed on the number given on an earlier post which can be handed over to the committee organising for the burial.

3. join the rest of the group at the meetings and make contributions individually - its next to dove cage(i need to get that restaurant's name correctly - but i know there are other close friends here so please help this old lady)

4. other suggestions from Wazua...

From my list, i would go with the first option... I think this would touch him from far and beyond the clouds.... - my thinking.

Finally there is a line that we as wazua family can use to send our contributions for F&F's arrangements. This is 0716 542 109. It is a safaricom line.

All receipts will be posted here as we have always done with similar monetary contributions for transparency.

I pledge to keep any 'personal' info received during this process as confidential as confidential itself can be. Therefore, it will be good if you could kindly follow up with an sms indicating your 'wazua' name so that we can keep track on what and who's sent for reporting purposes.

Honesty is a really important virtue...

If we had known it was pancreatic cancer, then we would have given a different variety of advice to him before he left us.

Anyway, he was not obliged to tell it like it was. I hope his soul is peaceful now.

IMHO and after reading wendz explaination, F&F was not after advice but to pass on a message which he felt (IHHO)that we needed to know...he knew he was going Sad

I also do agree that we need to support him..(afterall we had volunteered to eat mbuzi with him and share in whatever he wanted us to share - the importance of taking care of our lives)

May he RIP.

I think it doesn't really matter. What he wanted us to know is that life is very short and we should not waste it away. I like the way he brought out the youth in him.

I like your view Jacy.

If you read the thread well, notice that he had agreed to come to the Mbuzi and share his new found inspirational talk. We don't know if that is when he would have revealed all. He passed on before he could do so.

If he had told the exact story at the beginning of what he was going through, his identity here would have been compromised.

I still think the guy was intelligent, compassionate and fair to us. He did not seek your sympathy for selfish gains.

Empathy for society comes in many forms. Wangari did it with trees, eddy did it here. Why would someone confuse Allegory with a lie? Or tell a story but say it is happening to a friend?

When interest on bonds keep going up, you know the bear run is on high street. When interest on bonds start leveling, the bear has met the bull and they have hit rock bottom. When the interest rates on bonds start coming down, the bull has overpowered the bear and you better be riding the bull.

@sure and jacy... thank you very much.

Now is not the time to say we are confused, that way we shall loose focus. let us strive to digest F&F's message for the better of us who are still in this worldly life.

meanwhile that option 1 proposed by @wendz, me think is the best. by assisting his children, he shall be living with us in our humble actions.

I was almost convinced he was another person i know in real life.
He has recently died of Liver cancer, has a wife and two children.
But like Jacy26 said, F&F passed a message..Life is short, Live it well.

@Wendz, the number given is for funeral expenses or for children's fund too?
....above all, to stand.

That's our wazuan number for any contributions we may have. it is for what we decide to do. majority seem to favor the children's fund.
