Siku moja mimi huyooo...karauka 4:30 on an early job assignment to Nanyuki. I fired up my 'MY ROAD' from the sleepy beautiful Muranga, meandered downhill several kms till I crossed Mathioya river towards Sagana. A few metres uphill is the disused, snaking relic railway line that ends in Nyk. Kuruka bump no 1, loud grinding noise underneath. For starters, I knew I was totally screwed by saitani. I thought the engine was kaput, or the gearbox. Avai! Na hiyo giza! In a deep valley!
For 4hrs I waited for the animal kingdom to arise.
Kumbe it was just the left wheel axle that had come off. Siku hiyo ndio nilijua umuhimu wa akili!

Weka ka mbao hapo chini ya spring karibu na chasis, shift mizigo to the opposite side, and if possible ambia co-driver akae inje pia ku 'balance', weka moto na enda na miguu tatu...

P/S

Hauna spare axle/gearbox/alternator/starter/belt kwa gari? Or its just me?
