Watch your mind.

The modern day man is a besieged creature bombarded with images meant to corrupt, bend the mind. Apostle paul admitted to doing what he hated. Why? The mind. The evil one knows that if he can fill your mind with thoughts abt planes, pines and airports, you are as good as fallen. If he can fill your mind with negative thoughts, thoughts of failure, just being there, bitterness, he neednt urge you to do things that result from these thoughts..you will automatically do them. Whenever i see a lady, beautifully dressed pass by ina public place, i always look around & see men follow the lady. I could be wrong, bt i always imagine whats in the guys' minds..not positive. In short, enrich your mind with what is Godly, respectable and of honor. Be on the lookout against such evil thoughts. Pray God to cleanse your mind and fill you with righteous thoughts. For you will be blessd or cursed as a result of your mind. Even if you submit your soul and spirit to God, the success of failure of your walk in life is dependant on your mind. Therefore, watch your mind. Thanks For in him (Jesus) we live and move and have our being-Acts 17:28

I entirely agree.
All that medicate our minds, music, audio-visual, classic fm, even tribalism... etc will affect us. And we thought it is only marijuana and cocaine?
Anything that raises the dopamine in our brains and makes us feel 'that good' will get us. Dopamine is released during sex that makes it 'sweet'. So the evil one will raise it, and he does not care how he raises it so long as it is raised.
Of course after raising the dopamine there will be serotonine. You will feel bad, depressed about what you have done and seek to raise the dopamine again to feel 'better', at his prompting.
Its no wonder that everything nowadays is just sex, sex and more sex. Just by manipulating our minds, he gets us.

I have tried to keep a rein on my mind for more than two decades and the results have not been so encouraging. But I am not about to give up.
One thing I have come to appreciate is the power of consciousness in achieving mind control. 'I am' has been the greatest tool that I have found.
But then, this has everything to do with dancing with God.

Couldn't agree more. "As a man thinketh so he is; as he continues to think so he shall be!" It might not be easy but once you acknowledge that you can't do it without Christ you can be sure He'll help you! All you can do is all you can do; but all you can do is enough!

The biggest battle is in the mind, if you win that, you win the war. This applies to every realm of life. Mind is everything. Someone told me something one day; physical disability is no inability, bt mental disability is real inability. We have had physically challenged leaders rule with wisdon. Bt mentally challenged leaders would cause havoc. It all shows that mind is key in life. Meditate on that which is true, that which is noble and of honour and, your life will be so. For in him (Jesus) we live and move and have our being-Acts 17:28

Therefore, watch your mind. Thanks Bwana Ali, Allow me to disagree. Sex is one of the most beautiful acts God ever created. I refuse to associate thoughts of sex with anything negative. Sex is Good. Sex was not the devil's idea for he did not create anything. God created sex when he created man and woman and commanded them to fill the earth. In short, he wanted them to have sex, lots of sex. I cannot think of a thought more positive than that which allows us not only to procreate but to experience the sweetest pleasure known to man.
