@nwmaina, pole! And please dont be harsh on your partner, this stuff happens! I dont know if this helps but when going downtown its advisable to dress down and look like....well, a regular at the place. That way you dont attract unnecessary attention by looking monied! Us ladies love to look for best deal which a mainly found in not so pleasant places.....so adapting accordingly helps!

With Mpesa agents and ATMs practically everywhere Why would you carry hard cash in a mat..you cant find me carrying more than 5k in a mat even 5k is alot...One cashier from KCB told me thieves can smell money and I kind of subscribe to that dogma. '......to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.' Colossians 2:2-3

Pole bro... Go home and tell her it is no big deal! Even give her a story of how people lose everything. and move on to other things. That is what a man does! If you look stressed, wewe kwisha! Play cool and infact kesho mpe zengine ( kama zipo) but ask her to deposit kwa MPesa.. I am sure warias accept Mpesa. Whatever you do... do not look unduely disturbed when she is around. Hope she did not fall prey to those who say sister, wacha tuibariki ikuwe sh. 40,000, double double guys. Soon, (or is it already) it will be Bonus Season in tea growing areas and some farmers will throw away all a year's savings to crooks, conmen and an assortment of sockets who will soon set camp in those regions, leaving their families devastated. Invest in a good pair of socks with and you will comfortably carry even 1metre I think socks is good for CIT. No one wants to walk long distances dealing with "sina float". The other option is number two. But you have to keep looking for a bush or toilet to withdraw.

There was this friend of mine who gave his wife the the only remaining Ksh 200/= in the house to buy mboga in the market. she found these karata people who use three cards , two cards blank and on with a picture. The wife saw easy money and decided to try her luck .as usual pesa ikaenda. The distressed wife came back to the husband .Husband akamwambia usijali nitakopa rafiki yaku lakini usijaribu hiyo kitu tena. My friend came to me and borrowed another Ksh150 gave the wife again for the mboga. The wife went straight to the karata people to 'revenge' for the initial 200 lost this time swearing to be extra careful. Hiyo kshs 150 yangu pia ikaenda pap. She came back to her husband this time crying loudly.
