I came back yesterday. Jetlag and customs took most of my day.

Anand Ramamurthy is my doctor at Apollo hospital in Chenai India. He is based at the Centre for Liver Disease and Transplant as a consultant.

He gave me various options for Transplant but said 80% Alcoholic cirrhosis at times reverses but painfully slowly.

He prescribed plenty of drugs to be using before a donor is found, if one is ever found.

So, am on line for a donor liver.

Thanks guys for your prayers.

keep hope alive. Good to hear you.

@Wazuans, i propose a mbuzi for our dear brother on the 20th October 2011. It will be a holiday & right in the middle of the week! We could still do Alfajiri..as from 2pm? We can have everyone settle their bill, or if someone feels sufficiently philanthropic, they can angusha a mbuzi for us...hatuwezi kataa:)

All for 20th say AYE......

Me thinks its the right thing to do.... seconded...

@Magigi, you can be sure i will show up for this one... i hope that makes you "thirded", no?!

@Wendz
...Sure. Full support...and you will sit on my right and Katimba on my left...

Well, it seems you are already seeing a really good and well renown Daktari - I wish you the very best. God has opened to man the knowledge to treat and make medicines that work. Ultimately, God is the healer. As @Bwenyenye said - we live because we hope. Have plenty of hope, smile often, refuse to keep friends who point out the half empty cup and embrace those that show you the half full part - life is full of free things that will give you joy - only when you find this joy can you share it.

I know at the end of this thread - as long as it may turn out to be - we will celebrate you! You came out, faced this situation, this blog (and wazuans can be hard at times), shared, inspired, touched our lives, transformed a good number and then fought to live on!

I like ur signature....is it an original?

Probably then you have not had a close relative/friend who is terminally ill.

One Dr Musau referred to my relative who had brain cancer as being 'as good as dead' on viewing his scans.Sad He later died(my relative that is) but I think that was WRONG.

Cut f nf some slack Magigi. What if he is right?

No offence, but if Dr. Musau (the Neuro-Surgeon), happened to say so about the brain cancer patient, then the patient was certainly terminally ill.
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

All good but seriously, some feelings should be considered.... some doc told my colleagues "hey, condolences on your old man"... and the guy was not dead - YET. of course he didnt last the following day but still........
