I'm going to be a first time parent and need advice on where to find affordable baby wear. Also, what essential items are required and in what quantity?

Biashara street is the place where people shop for baby items,it has many different shops. You need the following too

baby shawl,rompers,vests,basin,flannel sheets,socks,sweaters,mittens,towel,baby hats,baby soap,diapers,feeding bottles,hair brush,blanket.

Everything happens for a reason.

In some shops along biashara street (e.g sunus) they will give you a checklist of what you require. You don't have to buy everything there but it will guide you. However, for newborn its good to buy new clothes although there are expensive, only after one year you can risk Eastleigh and the Kibera market.

depends on type of baby..... baby made (wako) and baby bought(wakununua) have different needs.
