@Kasheshi: There are different minimums for different industries and for different occupations i.e. according to the latest Kenya Gazette supplement dated 20 May 2009. Thus it will greatly depend on which industry you are in,and your occupation.

Sales people selling safcom, zain, orange and yu lines are paid 20bob per line sold and hence if you sell like 100lines per month, you get 2000bob salo!

I was thinking if this is realy fair?

@ Eli this depends on how you look at it. Some are paid 100k all dependent on the output.

the bottom line is for people to evaluate the kind of work they want to do and the returns before agreing to it.

@Eli; those are not employees. They are business people. In business, you take the risk...you can sell 100 line in a month,or in a day...it's up to you. And by the way, they get the lines at 10bob,therefore their gross margin is in the order of 200%. Even trafficking cocaine does not have such margins!!

Why a referendum when it is obvious that yes will win.Does it mean a shamba boy in switzerland will earn more than me?

Does this apply to every worker or immigrants are treated differently?
What about Amerka?
