Bees have invaded our house and pitched tent in the chimney. We have lit 3 fires in the last few days and when the fire is on, they just hover around the chimney (and they are really many) but when the fire dies out, they come back "home". A few are coming into the house through the chimney though they don't seem to be bothered with us but now am afraid one of these days they will take over the house.

I would like ideas on how to get rid of them.

Get a pest controller....he'll will clear them kabisa. Are bees attracted to a certain way of house structures? or more specifically chimney ama beneath the roof?

...Hapanaaaa... If you have a compound, buy a Langstrom (sp) beehive and voila, you will never walk into a supermarket and buy honey... The bees will all move to the beehive...

take a trip to busia and come back with a gunia of msokoto(fangi).. then light it usike... and voila...

You may need to try this one out.

Take a banana peel, cut it into thin strips and then insert the strips into an empty 2 liter bottle.

Combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of vinegar, stir it up, and then pour the mixture into the bottle. Now fill the bottle with water up to 2 inches below the neck. Tie a piece of string around the neck of the bottle and hang it from a nearby tree branch.

What makes this one of the most effective of all home remedies to keep bees and bugs away is the fact that the bees and bugs find the contents of the bottle more attractive than anything else.

They get caught in the sticky concoction when they fly into the bottle and they end up drowning.

Good idea this one. We are in compound and near a river so they have water to drink. I will seriously consider this. Let me google
