Whatever decision you make, dont listen to people telling you to have a big wedding, telling you to form a committee ati they will support you. Those same characters will contribute 500 or 1k and will suggest a budger of 300k.

All the best and wishing you blessings.

Lord, thank you!

this is truly a crazy world,(read Sunday Nation) how can a single wedding cost 50M....? flaunting??

@ bishop

make it simple... don't borrow to finance it...

at the end of the day what matters most is the love the 2 of you shares...

i agree with most sk members here. I am firm believer that people do a wedding they can afford themselves without involving their friends who have other important issues eg paying school fees for their kids and bro/sisters. Even if their friends have excess money to give away,it will be prudent to give to good charities than to donate for a lavish weddings. But the real problem is with our ladies, they want a good wedding,i ahave been fighting with my girl about this issue. I want something very small like pastors office and she wants a wedding and i am not going to spend all of my saving for the wedding and i am not going to allow her to spend her money also, because after we get married it will be our money.

And dont get wrong,i am not mean at all,but if i have only khs 500,000 has my life savings at this time,i am not going to spend this little money for the wedding, then i start at zero again,no way brother.

@kamaa,I would without any hesitation whatsoever spend ksh 50M on my son/daughter's wedding. Of course Ksh 49M would be on my present to them - a villa in Runda.
