Today (barring any late surprises) will see Britak start trading at the NSE. All eyes will be on the company which only managed 60 percent subscription

With the IPO being shunned by foreign and institutional investors, where will the support come from?

Moreover, expansion plans have now been thrown into disarray with the C.E.O saying “The board of directors will now have to prioritize on some of our projects and the timing for their implementation,”

Will it pull a TransCentury (Go up briefly then tank very swiftly), a CFCIH (Where it goes up and stays there for a considerable amount of time) or an Uchumi (Tanks on opening day then rebounds strongly)

Guys as far as i know when an IPO gets undersubscribed the underwriters have to take up the remaining balance at a discount. Any one knows what the discounted price was?

Funky-the offer is not underwritten.
If FIs (Ksh9m) and QIIs didn't get in, they must be waiting for the price lower down.

An underwriter's role is to guarantee that the required funds will be raised. Why would they then get at a discount?
