We complain a lot about Kenyan journalism (am guilty), for a change I would like to point out to the good work that Obbo, Wachira and others at NMG are doing with 'The East African'. The articles are very well researched and written extremely well. I wish all Kenyan media houses would follow suit. (even other NMG Publications) I was surprised to learn that Mungai is only 25!!! Ataenda mbali sana pongezi our goals are best achieved indirectly

pongezi and why do I suspect that you are either Obbo or wachira or Mungai. "You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it". Malcolm X

...after a bit of searching, I found this: http://www.theeastafrica.../-/lkur3lz/-/index.html
Where I read: "According to Christine Mungai, a 24 year-old reporter on The EastAfrican" Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Did anyone read Murithi Mutiga's article in the Nation yesterday?(Sunday 4th) He says South Africa has petitioned the ICC to investigate USA, UK and France for war crimes in Libya. He further goes on to blame western media for skewed reporting.(That's why most of us do not know that Zuma's govt has launched such a move). He specifically attacks the BBC for its biased coverage of the Libyan crisis and goes on to enumerate the excesses of the London based station. Where in the world is the media serious and reliable?

I am not Obbo or Wachira lol (my English sucks bigtime), but even if i was either of them it still doesnt change the fact that they are doing a great job. I was referring to the Socket Mungai, look up her articles, she s good NB I am not affiliated to NMG or any mediahouse, our goals are best achieved indirectly

Lolest! wrote:Obbo is great, i agree. Is he Kenyan or Ugandan He is Ugandan. Formally editor/owner of "The Monitor". He was offered a "big" job at Nation Centre when Monitor was taken over by NMG.... plus some shares in NMG in exchange for his shares at Monitor. Is he Kenyan or Ugandan Obbo is Ugandan, he was arrested by M7 government so many times that he broke a record.....so eventually took a job at NMG to keep out of trouble. He is a briliaint guy, I wish we had more journalists like him. I love his blog called Africapedia, the fellow is a real Pan Africanist If he wrote a book I d be the first to buy our goals are best achieved indirectly
