I have this funny feeling that Mbugua might be in for a surprise. Wambui might have left him only a small percentage of the property. The rest? Church maybe? Charity? Kids? Okay, the 'kids' might not get much. Mbugua was there for her more than the 'kids' were. I can't even imagine the kind of things he had to do for her especially in the last days.

But then again Wambui might have appreciated Mbugua being there for her when she needed someone most. It might have been obvious to everyone including Wambui herself that Mbugua got into this for money but I think he has earned it. He should keep the money and property, re-marry and get kids of his own like 'everyone' else.

Having said that, I don't care how broke/poor a man is, he should never marry for money. Women should also not marry for money but let me not even go there. That war was lost ages ago.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Common sense is the most evenly distributed quantity in the world. Everyone thinks he has enough.

Yes she is. And she will definitely behave well coz she has A LOT to lose by picking a fight with Mbugua!

What I admire most about the mama is that she had the courage to live her life. It wasn't in her to please others. How often do we bother with what others will think of us & hence not lived our lives as we'd have wanted. The irony of life is not that it's too short but that we take too long before we live it.

What we can learn from Wambui's life:Applause

1. Pursue happiness-She married a Luo man when this was uncommon, she married a younger man just to be happy! Is it right? Does it make you happy? Do it!!

2. Ignore the crowd-they must have objected to her first marriage. We laughed at her second but she still went on!

3. NEVER give up-How many times did she vie for parliamentary seat but never won?

4. Be proud of your heritage-she came out as proud of her great grandfather Waiyaki wa Hinga who she claimed was a Maasai by tribe.

5.Fight, don't take it lying down-she did her best against Umira Kager, didn't she?
