Though foreigners don't control as big a slice of the NSE as they once did, we are all connected

btw kenya is ranked as a frontier market. Emerging markets are the likes of the BRICs, SA etc frontier markets are more risky, possibly the maximum risk that western investors would consider.

Correct... Kenya is a 'frontier' market

@VVS and @sparkly your thinking inside the box....

Kenya is a frontier market but what about it doesn't qualify it to be an emerging market....

We just went through the worst global recession in recent times and PEV and i still don't remember a single company on the NSE posting a loss except KQ and those were hedge losses....

Kenya is also emerging in its own right and if foreigners decide to sell the NSE because of their own mess I'll be right here waiting just like i was last year....

Kenya will become an emerging market in 2030. Or was it 3020?

Well, you tell me what qualifies Kenya to be an emerging market at this point in time?

@hisah, I conquer with you. I expect a massive sell off beginning mid this month when the reality will hit the market. At the moment am adopting a wait and see approach as I contemplate on what to off load first.

@underweight, I will be CONQUERING against you and hisah. Meanwhile as you sell, perhaps you would be kind enough to let know what you are selling. Who knows, I may just CONCUR with some of your picks on the sell side. We may have a short-term correction between now and the end of year, but I believe the long term uptrend is still intact. We can wait it out until January when the NSE will explode ABOVE 5,000 points.

@hisah, At the beginning of September, you were predicting a bearish picture for the International markets. Well, we have all seen what has happened - the best September in aeons. This could reverse in October but the point is none of our projections are infallible.

@underweight. Is your username anything to do with a natural predisposition to be bearish?

It's a suckers rally and I'll stick with it because none of the fundamentals have changed in US or Europe. Until they do, I remain bearish.

@hisah how does you being bearish on the US and European markets affect your sentiments on the NSE

Some time back in October 2010 we got some good bashing with @underweight, but we survived...

@guru - my reason on NSE's bull flipping over was the low bullish volumes. That rally was unsustainable with those vapour volumes. Check on pg1 post 10 in this thread on the same.

I like the way wazuans fight each other with facts that is. This way we learn more and we all get better.

Those that hurl abuses in such arguments please try & avoid.
