Today, i could be having some extra cash to go for mulembe nite, but something happened and I now need some advice/help.

I did supply a certain client (a sacco) with a computer and they paid through a post-dated cheque which I was to cash it last week but one, after about 5 days, I was to get my mkwanja BUTT!! it bounced back was charged about 1.5k, I collected it, took it back to them and was reissued with another one, since the fault was on the sacco's bank they were to reverse the charges, then in the process of going to deposit it, the cheque mysteriously got lost, I tried looking for it but wapi?, So I called the guys told them to stop the payment and re-issue another cheque. then the main signatory simply told me off, they wount re-issue and didnt give any reason.

the cheque was for 40K

1. How can I be helped to get money or computer since the guys im sure will take me in rounds and I might end up never to be paid,

2. What of my 1.5K fine can they pay me back?

any help?

A cheque cannot just disappear unless 40k is small change for u. Look everywhere thrice. If still missing, go to a lawyer, pay and obtain a letter of indemnity for lost cheque. Present this to the sacco, they will first check the cheque has not been banked before they can cancel it and issue another. The guy was right to tell you off. I cannot just issue you with another cheque just because you say it is lost, unless am a sucker. coz only conmen try that. Good luck.

You are entitled to the 1500 too. Write a demand letter with copies of docs.
