MSC investors can count on international sugar prices remaining high OTW it will be raining COMESA sugar here in the event there is no extension.

MSC is back in production but the dealers need to stop inflating the commodity. They want to print the RRP on the packs. Should help

And on that matter, you were the BIGGEST name-caller of all Cde and Ice Cube would tell you, ''you better check yourself before you wreck yourself'' GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

My Analysis...on the MSC numbers.. Superb numbers from Mumias Sugar, the results are in line with my expectations, at the prevailing price of Sh6.35, dividend yield comes in around 7.9%, trailing PE is 5 which is quiet cheap. The only drawback from these results are the operating figures, sugar output for the year 2011/2012 remained stagnant at 235K MT (235K 2009/2010), management earlier this year said sugar output will rise to 250K MT during the current financial year therefore I attribute the rise in profits to high global sugar prices. Electricity sales were stagnant at Sh353M (Sh320M 2010) despite an improved deal from Kenya Power, I attribute that to low sugar output. Read more http://www.contrarianinv...p-by-21-outlook-dim.html

Don't be in a hurry to get the dividend now. Rem the book closure is 4th Nov and definitely there is going to be price swing especially tending south making the dividend yield higher than at the current price. We are in a bear market and you'll be surprised how greed can blinden some of us. Take a look at all the companies that announced good results with handsome dividend of late. The price rose profit takers and salvages did their part and down the share went. The same will happen to mumias sugar. So cash out or salvage out and buy later at a cheaper price "A bad decision made now is beta that a good one made later!!"

So what do we expect for the CURRENT Financial Year for Mumias? 1) Low cane supplies = low sugar production 2) Low cane supplies = high fixed costs/kg 3) Low cane supplies = no bagasse for electricity production Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
