Hallos,
Are there any wazuans who believe there will be some renaissance in good old "Port Florence"?? I have invested heavily in Land (Riat, Mamboleo etc)...but somehow things feel like they are stagnating. Nyanza Professionals seem to be very reluctant about this city...they build their villas & disappear back to wherever...Are there any wazuans with property investments in Kisumu? What is the reality on the ground?

Hope the counties will embrace and work towards improving multicultural demographics. Otherwise 07/08 hangovers still fresh in the minds of many investors except perhaps non-Kenyans.

Kimwa chilling story In todays daily nation makes investors intending to invest in Kisumu be very wary.

Loosing 400M worth of investment and at the same time nearly loosing your life is not a story that invites investors.

Unless pple from Nyanza invest there heavily I dont see a property boom in kisumu any time soon.

Take Eldoret for instance the athletes have invested there heavily creating a property boom for themselves.

There are four places I'd never ever invest in, Kisumu, Eldoret, Baghdad and Khandaha.

BBI will solve it

I know of a huge project in Kisumu coming up, investor is spending 1B on property.

Another one is for about 800M.

Maybe more guts than brains?
Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

@2012 why not you can make money in all these areas so long as you know how to manage your risks. there are people who deal with higher risks can u imagine those invest in charter flights to baghdad now thats risk they are making good money still

@jamplu, whatever profession you're in I'm sure there's an opportunity for you in Baghdad and I'm sure it would pay you ten times what you're earning now... So have you applied for a job there?
