NSE closed 3540 yesterday as the bounce continues. However with Europe & US markets sliding big yesterday wiping this week's gains & Asia now continuing, I wonder if NSE will close higher than last Friday... The lack of volume on the various bluechips makes the bounce not convincing.
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

my thinking is that there are low volumes because people arent interested in low prices.thus no supply no demand. I am also shocked the bourse is rallying yet world markets are fallin.lol. Where is the sync between this two markets.

Soon it will be firmly established whose GDP is growing and whose is shrinking. Choose your pick.

I think our market is slow to react. the current bounce is like the one experienced last week in the other markets. so wait for the n.s.e to follow the global ones with time

Wazua is very quiet nowadays. some people have simply gone MIA(missing in action)- i know you know. I now fear for kenol kobil. last day its cum dividend and look at the trades. tepid. Monday, i cant wait for Monday. International oil stocks in Asia took a beating today. Though i dont quite think their trend is tied to kk. coz kk is doing very well business wise. And oil prices are falling, the report as if its bad news.... maybe for them. Monday for you we await.

If your average buy is anywhere up to 10,and you have taken the two dividends this year(today's closure inclusive),why would you be worried?.Look at BAT ex-dividend lost only 5%.Until there is another market sell off to take us below 9,and when that happens top up.

With the world markets all down. European markets nearing a 2 year low, DJ is just but another story, Europeans & Americans have got access to cheap debt & still don't want to invest or even take up some even sitting on tonnes of cash. For me 10% stop loss is enough instead of waiting till the market goes 30% in the red. With my cash in the money market i sleep well at night & recouping a minor loss will not be as hard thus retaining my capital & gains made last year. I guess guys are still waiting to really see a double dip recession in the global markets so as to scatter. When guys dump risky assets, you should always have your eyes wide open, both Nymex & Brent crude September prices went down too...I guess more will be MIA.
