Last year, their profit was up 16% dividend was down 30%. I can reasonably expect their dividend will go down 6% this year in response to their growth.

Not sure what game they are playing, buy its definitely not shareholder interests.

Reasonable results, but do not hold your breath for a rise in the share price. It will go up a little and then fizzle out. Serious investors abandoned this ship a while ago.

Am paranoid of all insurances, especially when they decided PEV, riots, drought and crops are insurable.

One day, they will incur losses and start crying to the government for bailouts.

Although Kenya Re recorded an underwriting profit which is quite rare among listed insurance firms top line business only grew by 5.6% as demonstrated by the NPW/NPE ratio above while investment income surged by 41% to stand at Sh700M (Sh497M-2010) due to high rental yields from their investment properties. Income from Government Securities dropped by 38% to stand at Sh180M ( Sh292M in 2010). EPS grew by 14% to stand at Sh1.41, if Kenya Re is able to maintain this performance full year EPS will come in around Sh2.82 thus the stock currently trades at a forward PE OF 2.94 which is quiet Cheap.
