An eye opener to politicians the world over ,masses of unemployed,frustrated youth are not eye candy.They will get restless and demand for a piece of the cake.This is what it comes to.Hope our own lot is watching this.

@Njunge, thanks for the best wishes we are fine and hoping this ends.

However there is a bigger issue to all this and what started as a peaceful vigil against some guy shot by the police in Tottenham as turned out to full scale anarchy.

What one notes all this areas are predominatly black dominated communities and there is a general feeling that enough is enough, the Stop $ Search law was brought about after 9/11 and it was purely terrorism related, however this has been extended to the black community in London and i think this erked the youth esp with the policies brought about by the Conservatives then i feel the black youth have their back against the walls.

The government will not agree to this, the papers will not report this but this has to be addressed!! well infortunately its a reflection the old institutional racism at play here...

However i echo others here and lets see how they react to this!!

Guys, pardon my ignorance but what are these youths 'fighting' for? What exactly is the problem? I read sometimes back that the average young ( <40) Briton, has come to painfully accept that they will never own a home ( a very big thing for Britons just like Kenyans) now with the next financial collapse in the offing in Europe and USA... Could these riots be a result of pent up frustrations?
