We all multi-task in the present world, take a typical mat driver on any of our roads at this very moment: is likely speeding, eyes on the road looking for either or both of wadhiis or cops, adjusting the music volume, and every now and then avoiding potholes yet is still able to hear when the konkodi/conductor whistles or bangs on the side of the mat to drop a passenger, is still also looking to see if there's a jam so that he can the nearest shorti...thats multi-tasking - happens everyday, all the time, even now.

Disadvatage of multitasking: it spreads one's attention thin - not all the tasks will be completed as thoroughly as would be the case if one task was handled one at a time with all the attention focussed on it.
