I think it will be foolhardy to ignore the mungiki..yet they exist at have the POTENTIAL to cause havoc...
I diasgree with some of you on the role of mungiki in the not too distant future and there capabilites..at the moment mungiki is percieved to be a kikuyu outfit and soon they will be a national outfit...i forsee people from other tribes being recruited as the country is getting incresingly tired with the Elitist, therefore targetting themselves as the enemy.. it's numbers will blow up beyond anybodies imagination and then we will have a real problem in our hands..before any of our leaders batt an eyelid, some bright scholar will come out of the woodwork and feel the vacuum of direction and intent ...now what will happen and most importantly what will they do?? your guess is as good as mine..
Money goes with power and they will soon realise that..and as well all know humans are all driven by greed...If at all a repeat of what happened last year occurs...i do not think this will be a war fought against tribes,it will be a war against our 'lesser' brothers and sisters..The Luo's will attack the Luhyas,Kikuyus attack the Kambas,Kales the Kisiis and so forth..that is what happens in warfare..Good case example is Somalia where it's the clans that fight each other..
It's important we maintain sober heads and only we can determine our destiny..I don't think Uncle Sam will do much, case example Rwanda,Somalia..we have no Oil like Iraq or minerals like DRC..and at this point i don't see the west sending troops to East Africa...that would be wishful thinking..!!

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.
