Hello guys,
I bought 5900 sameer shares @shs.8.6 then later added some 3000 shares @shs.5.6.
From the goings-on,this "Fire" is consuming me,
How can I minimise or wipe out my loses?
Suggestions pliz,,

Your question best answered if you divulge the reasons why you bought Sameer in the first place.

I think you can quit while there is still some money to be made. Infact looking at the economy and other factors eg next years election, I think there is no doubt that we are yet to see the worst at NSE. If I was in your position I would consider various factors like why you went for this share at first etc. If I choose to sell I would do the math of how many cellphones I have lost etc and I would classify my loss in NSE together with lost phones etc.

Why is Marshals showing a loss of 8.8% and price is stuck at 11.40?

Only a recession abroad will save this company as it will make inputs cheaper in the global market. So U can either wait for the recession abroad to set in proper (won't be too long) or just sell the darn thing already!!

In this game, you don't count your gains or losses until the moment you exit the counter. Unless this company shuts down, there is a high likelihood that stock will rise back up if you wait long enough. The only way to minimize your risk of a loss is to buy more of this stock at current price. If and when it ever get back to Ksh 8.6 you will have made some money. Unless you absolutely have to have that cash now, leave it there. I was in the same situation when the US stock market took a dive in 2008. Had a mutual fund that I bought at $20 US a share. As it went down towards $10, I continued buying more shares bi-weekly. Its now back to $19 and I have good gains if I sell now. Those who sold as it went down lost. Those who stopped buying it also lost some. Those who kept buying it at a "discount" made the most. Sameer is selling at a discount. Buy more.

Just one word of advise... SELL and invest elsewhere. Dont even think of averaging down because the price will NOT RECOVER.

How poor you. Speculation is a very bad habit. If you can't invest, look for a fish market.

Now, sell the stupid thing (READ:SAMEER), calculate your gain/loss and invest elsewhere, maybe in Tusker mbili au Tatu very night at your favourite ka-local!

Don't forget to come back next time. We (READ: MERALLIs) were very happy doing business with you!

Lastly, i hope you are not that guy that starts thread with 'my friend wants/did/thinks ..... of selling sameer', and have deviced new way of reporting his friends (READ: HIMSELF) to WAZUANS!

Pole that Meralli gave you the wrong end of the stick. Advice sell off the darned things & forget anything associated with the guy. Chances are, you are yet to see dust on Firestone, Sasini & Neveready. Check out the thread I started about Meralli being sought by France Gubberment. The Sh*t will hit the fan.

@oracle - Lakini the thief merali has his people on Wazua. They defend him by criticizing his accusers of crimes [yes, the crimes are real] that happened many years ago!

Anyway, merali 'sold' the land Sameer Tyres had for the fraction to Sameer Business Park. Yes, ST has only 25% of the SBP development!

ST shareholders would have benefitted more if the land had been sold for cash but merali found a way of conning ST shareholders. Again!

Talk about being heartless! Some peps might think it's being a shrewd businessman. He screws everyone in whichever deal he's involved in. To paraphrase someone. He screwed the French for Kencell, he screwed the Arabs for Celtel and now he's just screwed the Indians for Bharti. He screwed Kenyans for Uchumi, screwed them more over Firestone land and still more for the KDN illusion. I was told bendover over Neveready. Laughing out loudly!

@funky. that was the point. i used to mistake (and most people do) the listed sameer that deals with tyres and the sameer investment group. in real sense the other is a sublet of the other.
