As a staunch viewer of Citizen TV news, I wish to suggest a correction/amendment to one Citizen TV Sunday 9 pm news item.

I find the use of the phrase 'WHO OWNS KENYA' misleading and misplaced. The literal sense of the phrase is to say the least very scary! How does the ordinary Kenyan feel when you suggest that Kenya is actually owned by a certain group of persons (locals and foreign investors). By owning some shares in a particular company does not qualify anyone to own Kenya. Before long, RMS may find themselves on the wrong side of the new Constitution explaining how and when Kenya got distributed to the rich.

Perhaps they could substitute the phrase with " WHO OWNS WHAT IN COMPANY X, Y OR Z".

I agree with Njore on this one. The title is inciting. The political adage 'Kenya ina wenyewe' does not help when you compare it with the title of this program. The common man might think that this is the truth. Somebody stole their country. The ratings for this program is very high as I was surprised to find out. I agree they should feature SK Macharia despite his being declared bankrupt.

@Njore.... Think they should also investigate how and when they started owning Kenya! How much did the ordinary tax payer pay on their behalf?

When looked at in a literal sense they indeed 'own Kenya'. look at it in this sense, say the top twenty Richest Kenyans. You at least interact with their companies commodities at least once in a day. You may be employed in one of their companies or at least you may be paying rent to them, either the place you live or your work place location. So in the final analysis a majority of Kenyans are working hard day and night to fill up their coffers knowingly and unknowingly. This I call ownership.
