Hi good people. Does anyone have any experience freelancing online? I am a software developer with a full time 8 to 5 job looking to make some extra cash on the side. I've checked out a couple of freelance sites like elance and getacoder and realize that most employers there need (or at least expect) you to have positive reviews. I don't suppose there's an easy way of getting in there and establishing myself but I sure would appreciate insights from an experienced person. It doesn't matter to me whether your freelance experience is with something other than software development. Thanks.
