Any idea what the renewal entails, besides filling forms? whats the turnaround time? do they give a new passport? can I get a 48 page if I had a 32 page. Thanks

It is not that hard, the system is a little more effecient now, the problem is you might have to pay more than a new applicant, I don't know why but when I went to renew mine for some reason they person looked at my passport and exclaim, "this passport is depleted!" and that the cost will be Kshs 10,000 to replace it, I opted not to renew or replace at all since I wasn't planning to spend Kshs 10,000 on it( I hold a passport fo another country), otherwise ordinarly it is around Kshs 3000 to get a new passport!

The process is just like applying for a new one, fill the forms, take passports, bring old passport etc... and the processes take less than one hour. It takes 21 days to get the passport.
Lord, thank you!

Just request that you want a B passport (48pp) as opposed to the standard A passport (32pp). B is more expensive.

What happens if you want a new passport but your old one was lost after it had expired long time ago.Don't even remember the number!
