@keraka, uko na kiraka kwa kichwa. BK!! Its like saying all those facing starvation should be flogged in public coz this is laziness of farming. Or those with mukingo should be flogged coz what were they thinking getting it? BK!!! Watu wanaumia and that's what you can say?

The jigger menace follows certain climatic patterns, n has little to do with hygiene. Central, western, narok areas are prone.

Jiggers is about hygiene as pointed out,and not poverty. the victims should be encouraged to wash as should be, and that area has ample water resources. By the way what is the end result of the jigger attack? Can one die from it? Just curious!

the buggers should all be caned..jiggers are as a result of negligence by the parents,in case of grown ups,i have no kind words..
@ kabz,,don't blame the climate..and by the way muranga has the highest number of rivers/streams..i stand to be collected??

@cmk, if u ever got that lil' thing in ua toes, u will agree that hygiene isnt the major factor here. Everybody in my primary sch got at least a few of the infections in the 8yrs. Hygiene levels werent that bad.To reiterate, if its about hygiene, Maasais, turkanas, Luos, coastarians n walalos should be leading the pack! However, low hygiene levels will exercabate the mess. Would u blame coasterians for getting mosquito bites n suffering fm malaria?

The major cause, after this research was discovered to be poor hygiene conditions.

Why do we always reduce ourselves to tribal cocoons instead of accepting facts.People are never dirty coz they are kiuks,luos, turkanas et al. Poor hygiene is the problem here. Did you Know that our muslim brothers believe non muslims are as dirty as pigs coz the latter never washes their bottoms/ manhoods after long/short calls.
