Big coup for Jubilee as it swipes the KQ account off AON Minet's feet

Which business? I hope not something as miniscule as WIBA.

The premiums that used to go to AON Minet, now goes to Jubilee. Doesn't that count for something?

This is one counter i have religiously built a war chest for, and im happy the market is proving my efforts are not in futility.

At this rate, i cant give a bottom price on Jubilee given the trend, i was to jump in at 190 now at 170, however if the price dips below 120 i will throw caution to the wind....

you know how we do. they'll find their way into my cdsc account very soon.smile ironically kplc, its being punished for nothing. I rem there was a year, i think last year. there were so many blackouts constantly and the company indicated their sales hadnt improved by much but still recorded major profit growth. So this rationing thing as far a profits are concerned, wont affect growth.

Quality Firm!

"The group announced Thursday that the decision to pay dividends, made up of Sh8 per share, before the AGM will offer cash boost to shareholders given the negative impact of Covid-19 pandemic.

This latest payout, when added to the already paid interim dividend of Sh1 per share, will bring the total payout to Sh652.3 million."

I would have thought you knew Financial Performance and the Share Price may not be correlated especially in the short term during a volatile period.

I have a few Jubilee but way more Kenya Re given the P/B.

Jubilee has been a consistent (financial) performer with a great investment record vs other Kenyan insurers.

The money for insurance firms is in the investment return and not the insurance business. Buffett has written/spoken extensively about this.

The consistent performance has allowed it to pay a dividend (same as last year) even when times are tough. I want cash today so I can reinvest where I want.

According to an inquiry notice from the Comesa Competition Commission, Akfed is seeking to acquire all the shares in the Sh65 billion fibre cable through its subsidiaries, Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) and Jubilee Holdings.
