Watched the earlier KK press conference on youtube and later Segman's interview with CNBCs Alishia both confidence inspiring. Were it not for the currencies in the region losing to the dollar the group would have easily grown earnings 100%.

Segman seemed wary of answering the contribution of profits by the different subsidiaries. Why?

The crude oil is sent via pipeline to North Sudan for refining & export to China, etc

Fuel supplied by KK is primarily to UN agencies according to Segman but lots of 'private' interest

I can understand it when none of your competitors share their info with you.

Except for Total & KK, who knows how much the OMCs make in Kenya?

Also Total Uganda, etc are 'private' so why share how profitable each country is to your competitor?

demand was solely supported by local investors. Possible upswing if foreigners move in for value away from banks...or be ready for profit taking...which I believe is underway...dividend date rise...bear..all ahead.

Did you notice when Segman talked about "European Investors"?

I think in the medium term future we might see foreign demand rise from this thing.

Even UBA Bank MD was there! Though they do have associations with KenolKobil

A couple of Indian Fund Managers. Or were they Kenyan *Cough*

LOL... I love the optimism or is it pessimism about hoping/expecting the fall in the price of KK?

IMHO, I think a lower price is good coz I am a net buyer. Anyway, someone said it will make some of us millionaires... ;-)
