I intend to engage someone to do for me data entry into a statistical application for further analysis, but I have no idea about the rates that are charged for data entry per questionnaire. Any ideas.

Majicman.

You could start by minimum wage.

it depends with the amount of data in discussion. most 'private jobs' do 500bob per day meaning you determine what someone can do in a day and give the number of days and compute the cost.
if for instance it's a 10-day job and the person does it in 2 days, you hand him the 5k for the job. it depends with the agreement and the sensitivity of the job.

@Njaramba, The questionnaires are 400 and has 34 closed questions in 7 pages each.

@Donacatah, simply quote your rate, that will be your involvement as a data entry clerk. unless I didnt get your question clearly.

Hi,

I have 300 questionnaires with 10 pages each for a baseline study.

I would like to have the data entered into a soft form and analyzed.

Anyone interested, kindly revert with the possible cost and time it might take.

Thanks

Mkenya
