I see today, Safaricom has now launched their Safaricom Domain Services for 2,500 / 4,000 / 5,000 a month. Now now now, just after reducing bandwidth prices by 100-150% and the unlimited internet for 3,000/= a month. And already with 92% share of Internet connections. I say AccessKenya is a duck, dead in the water. On another note, really enjoyed reading @RobertAlai's rant at @BobCollymore An Open letter to Safaricom CEO

BTW, on the open letter, why doesn't the writer just load ksh 2,500 on his pre-paid phone each month?

No when the bull comes. Ones we clear the political climate and the bull charges back.I know i look mad but hey a contrarian gotta do what he's gotta do... ..I am banking on poor investor bull market euforia and a deeply cheap stock..

'Happy Birthday from Safaricom. We wish you joy and good health on this day and the days to come. Thank you for staying connected to the better option.' Ati Safcom??? Seriously Baks for 3rd term..Alfred Mutua/Phogisio will send wishes such as this to all kenyans, Ngara will become 4th city (Ngara City), UK will change name to Uhuru Onyango Kenyatta...Asiiii!!! 'Hope' is not a strategy. Take Action!

udaypette wrote:Safaricon has slashed the cost of internet by 150%. I hope am not the only one who is excited by these news. If you used to get 600mbs for 999Ksh you ill be geting 1500mb. Now think about that: They were charge charging sh999 for 600MB 150% of sh999 is Sh1,498.50 Subtract this from the original price: 999 - 1,498.50 = Sh-499.50 In other words, SCOM will GIVE you Sh499.50 when you buy 600MB Doesn't make sense, does it? Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

AK has abt 8000 business subscribers (counted in total market connections) and Wananchi abt 9000 (ditto part of the total market. SCOM may have 3 million using the internet - but between the top 5 players offering business services (AK, Zuku, KDN, Orange, etc) - they command about 75% of revenue. So if we are looking at mobile internet, then perhaps SCOM have abt 50% market share (the rest shared between Chameleontel, Orange and Yu)

and the price for the IDEOS has been raised. it seems they already made the cash they had targeted. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'
