Hello comrades. I have this business i really want to start. It is a medium size poultry farm and also i want to have a hatchery on the side to hatch my own indigenous chicken and exotic birds such as peacock, pheasants, turkey.
Farm will be in half an acre piece of land located along Nyeri-Nyahururu road near Mweiga. I'm in the process of acquiring an incubator capable of hatching on average 360 eggs per month.
My question are, do any one of you know the viability of this exotic birds business and whether its easy to access hatching eggs of the same in the country or its just through importation.

Broilers - 1 sq foot per bird Layers - 2 sq feet per bird The rich have money working for them; the poor and the middle class are going to work for money.

Was wondering what are the pros and cons of rearing free range chicken...thought of starting with like 300 one advantage is that i have space for them to run around and i believe this helps them in egg production...what else do i need to know... possunt quia posse videntur
