there is light at the end of the tunnel. A likely impossibility is always preferable to an unconvincing posibility. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

They last spotted debris and the French aviation authorities confirmed that its for the ill fated plane.
Notice how the aviation guys drop subtle hints, they wont come out and say that all the 225 pple are feared dead, they drop small subtle hints for the relatives and friends to pick up and absorb slowly.
May their souls rest in eternal peace.
Amen.

my friends,do not be decieved by this claim that the accident was caused by a lightning strike or otherwise. airplanes have well-tested mechanisms for dealing with lightning strikes. france have to save face for two reasons - airbus (which is majority french-owned) and air france.
airbus have no manual overrides for the impressive electronic controls in their planes (boeing have always had the manual overrides until 777 and 737-800). these electronic controls are highly desirable as the greatly reduce the weight of the aeroplane. despite the in-built redundancies put in place there is nothing that beats a manual override in emergency situations. picture yourself driving a car and the electronics go crazy, the car starts heading for a cliff as instructed by the electronics and there is nothing you can do about it!
my take is that some form of electronic or mechanical malfunction happened but the lack of the manual override gave the pilots no control over a situation that they would have otherwise been able to save.
french authorities will milk the lightning theory or other similar stories to ensure that they don't get any bad rep for their two milk cows.
Later Knuckleheads!

I remember the last time KQ missed in Cameroon, everybody was blaming those who were involved in the search for taking too long to find it. Well, this one is not missing in the skies of Africa! With all the technology of the west,it has not been traced yet.
All the same I feel sorry for the families whose loved ones were in the plane. I can only hope that it went up up up up up to heaven!!!
