Housing finance grew profits by 67% and Equity Bank has just announced growth of 52%. what do they have in common? British American owns a large stake in both. And by buying Britak shares, i buy into both. Iam going have to rebel on ur advice and buy those British American IPO. roho safi

Now the dissapointment creeps in. KCB will be no different, but at least with KCB we are used to below par results.

44% of Eqty Bank's Sh13 Bln total operating income came from fees, commission and forex...non interest income carries the day for member...i expect banks not strong in that department to suffer this year.

even with your dissapointment, the perfomance was good comparing the business environment for H1,the inflation etc.I doubt there will any bank that will beat equity at 52% growth in earnings for same period !

57% increase in PAT missed the street estimates by miles...i expect the share to stagnate at this levels...20% of my portifolio is in Eqty Bank (only bank I hold), in the next few days I will reduce that to 10%.

This death defying Equity, you have to take your hat off - seriously!

After years of scepticism, I'm poised on the platform to take a deep dive. I've begun by searching blogs and I see all sorts of spurious claims about ownership.

With best intentions I ask, was all that hullabaloo about who owns Helios EB Investors resolved, or is the dictum by one Amos Kimunya that owners be revealed 2016 still in force?
