... Kibaki's re-appointment of Ringera and his deputies has been termed unprocedural by parliament.this afternoon. Also the Head of Civil service decision to sack the MD of KEBS was quashed. I hope the fella will not get shocked/sick and have to go back to South Africa for treatment!!! I know Kibaki has quality shock absorbers...huo ni upumbavu tu...

Am so excited to see the rule of law prevail in an emphatic fashion for the first time in a long time. Its high time the executive started to read the mood of its citizen. A president exists to serve his people and not just a small clique.

During the swearing-in ceremony for his first term in office,MK assured us that it will never be 'business as usual'. Sadly,a cursory look at the goings-on show that 'moism' will take time to end. Those of us from the old school still remember the days when Moi would spring some illogical surprises and we would all hail him as a political genius.

Those aspiring to be future presidents should know that the culture of 'mta-do?' will surely have to come to an end. At least we now know that the presidents word or action will not be final if not executed within the law.

Cant help to sympathize with 'kalooser' for thinking that anything that the executive does goes. If he continues with that dangerous mind-set,he should forget 2012. Kiunjuri could even be said to be wiser than him.

To all the Mpigs who voted against the bill......SHAME ON YOU!.

Am also offended to note that the sports minister voted against the bill......No wonder she cant challenge RAO on Hey as the national soccer team rapidly goes to the dogs.

This time some mps are making us ordinary citizens so proud of them. Yesterday i was very sad to hear that Rutto and uhuru,two kenyans who have some hope to lead our country were plotting some selfish alliance to defeat Ringera move. This guys will have to pay a price for this,but for now guddos for other mps for telling off the president.

Ati Kibs humiliated? Honestly do you think he's the kind of person to get humiliated by such things? He obviously expected something of this sort to happen after all he knows how unpopular Ringera is. If worse comes to worst he'll just ask Ringera to resign just like he did when the fire became too hot in the Kimunya,Murungaru,Kiraitu and Mwiraria issues.

But I think legally this will be a hard one for parliament because there's nothing they can pin Ringera on.

Bright and interesting people talk about ideas. Those of average intelligence talk about things. Stupid people talk about other people.

@Mpenzi

Whats the legal position and what happens after this. I listened to the lawyers arguments on the floor of the house and got more confused. Either the lawyers dont know the law or our laws are not clear. Every lawyer seemed correct to me.

This is great ... throw the ball back to Kibs then go on Holiday -i mean recess

Net Work Done..? to deal with real corruption in all this ???

All this noise because procedures followed / omitted .. why not seriously debate about Mandates,scope,etc ..what about giving KACC real 'teeth '

KACC is not Ringera

@mtaalam

It is true the MPs or say parliament does not have powers to get Ringera out of the office even with their vote,Kibaki can not ignore their move. Even with all the powers,he can force Ringera down their throats but they can refuse to pass the KACC budget until the President does something. Now,how would KACC operate without a budget an the money can not be released from the Treasury unless they want to plunge us into deeper mess than 2007 if they force the budget down the MPs throats too. And that story by Beth Mugo that they have to support the president so they do not humiliate him? The only reason being - other countries think we are having elections next month or the other month bla bla..... it was so unconvincing...

My thinking is,Parliament can hold the budget as the bait to have what they want done. No wonder the motion to have the budget passed was postponed coz it was not going to go through for sure. Kibaki needs the parliament more than the parliament needs him. Remember,his own Ministers were also against his act. This is not the only issue he will need support from parliament.. he wont afford to burn bridges to have this go through. For once,the MPigs were HONORABLES yesterday!

But i could be wrong/misinformed and stand to be collected..

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
