hey guys,

Quick Introduction:

I am 26 years old born in Kenya but raised through my teen years in New York. I was impressed with this website and I had to share about my business and how we can help each other in terms of business and financial relationship.

I own my business that's about selling electronics in different parts of the world including states, ireland, england, canada and australia. My main commodity are apple products just because they have a high demand everywhere.

I am willing to spread my business to my home Kenya; hopefully, my idea can be generated to a brilliant mind on how we can make money. For example, iphone 4 prices in kenya are pretty high but my prices are almost 25%-30% off. lets say an ipad 2 goes for $895 in kenya (a friend advised me that these are the current prices). I can sell the same ipad 2 for about $650.

The only problem that I don't know much about its shipping. How good and reliable are post offices, fedex, ups, etc?? Share your ideas.

ha ha ha. I don't know how much the Chinese are doing them for? Although, my products are originals rather than the replicas. I don't know if that helps. lol. Thanks for your advice. Appreciated.

The last time I checked, Apple has a very tightly controlled supplier and retailer network and the prices are more less uniformed save for the exchange rates.

How the heck are you able to knock off that fraction of the retail price and still want us to believe that these are genuine product?

eboomerang,

Thanks for taking your time to reply; however, it seems I did not make myself clear. Apple does not control my supply, as long as there is demand I can get the goods. Yes, the supply is limited because the demand is low because of its prices.
Technology is a fad and a plethora of young males are always chasing the latest fashion. Although, they cannot afford to keep up with it because of its prices. Thats where i come in...really i am just like a hawker (sp) selling mtumba, same label (originals) but with an affordable price.

Recession has affected everyone. I am just looking for a young mind that knows about marketing in kenya. Exchange rate is a factor to consider but with a good demand, its something we can overcome.

luttz,

prices depend with many features just like what you asked. I can get any ipad:

Ipad 1: 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb

Ipad 2: 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb

Also, are you looking for brand new (NEVER OPENED) or used but in mint condition.
