Am thinking of starting a small dairy farming project with a few friends. Does anyn one on this forum know where i can buy some dairy cows (or calfs just about to mature)? What are the current going prices for Friesian,Ayrshire or Guernsey?

Any dairy farmer out there??

There's a gentleman who lives in Karen and raises pure breed Ayreshire dairy cows. He could have some heifers in calf. He also subsidises the cost of feeds by remixing feeds like maize germ and cotton seed cake with chicken manure(yes,mavi ya kuku from Sigma @ Kshs1 per kg)His animals are in fantastic condition.

My farm is in Kieni,on your way to Naromoru. Its about 6 kms from Chaka along Nairobi - Nanyuki road, then branch of at Karicheni, drive three kms and you will be in the farm.

Look for one Murungaru, I hear he has the best breeds around and he also operates from Kieni.
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.
