Does anyone have the dates when our listed banks will be reporting for H1 2011?

These were the dates for last year:

Barclays - Aug-11-10
CFC Stanbic - Aug-30-10
Diamond - Aug-11-10
Equity - Jul-20-10
Housing - Jul-21-10
KCB - Jul-13-10
National - Aug-06-10
NIC - Aug-19-10
Stanchart - Aug-13-10
Co-operative - Aug-16-10

As you can see, if last year is anything to go by, Only 3 banks reported in July. Will this year be any different?

I wish NSE could move to the same standards as the JSE and require NSE listed companies to submit a calendar for announcements (among other things).

Was EA CABLES' fast delivery a one off linked to Transcentury ama it's a 'new beginning'? Hehe. Probably the former. Hata KCB during the Rights Issue announced their results in record time!Laughing out loudly

YCSUN, as a speculative play? I actually thought about it, but I guess I didn't follow that thought to the end! Interestingly there was almost a 7.6% spread between the high and low price. On the other hand there were very few shares traded at the low of 21.25. Anyhow, something to watch out for from tomorrow.

The more the Banksters delay their results...the more likely the numbers are below par...

@Cde, read the article properly. The projection is that Q2 (2011) has not fetched as much earnings as Q1 (2011). KCB Rwanda’s Managing Director, Maurice K. Toroitich gave the following reason for it

Quote:
“Bralirwa’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) helped the bank record a healthy growth, which did not happen in the second quarter.

Wrong headline. What they meant is that the profits for Q2 2011 will be slightly lower than those of Q1 2011. However, H1 2011 will still be well above that for H1 2010.

You know bad news sells - I am reading (finally) Jeffrey Archer's "The Fourth Estate" and these guys will do anything for a catchy headline - but then we already knew that!

Then why this mis-leading statement?
