Alarmists should be removed from wazua. How can your bill be inflated from 2k to 21k. Its just a mistake that can be sorted out, or, you opened an industry in your house in the last month.
Otherwise, i still don't understand how would people spend 2k per month in a residential house even with a family of 6 people. Embrace modern power saving equipments and you will never regret!
My bill has NEVER gone past 600/= in a month (mostly its 400-550) in a 4 bedroomed house in Ngoigwa Thika Town.

Lucky you.Last month my fixed charge bill alone was 240.I called KPLC and a lady by the name Ruth told me that last year in July i didn't pay for the fixed charge as per their system. She even went ahead to ask if i had the bill with me.What nonsense is this? Why would i keep the bill anyway? I've given up and i decided to pay the extra 120/=.Last week safaricom guys passed my neighbourhood introducing the pre- paid meters and i'm looking forward to that.

Hey wht does safcon have to do with prepaid metets

They are working together with KPLC.They took our phone no. and house no.Safcom will call to arrange the appropriate time for KPLC to come and fix the meter. Also the units will be bought via Mpesa.I don't know about the other networks.
